New Converse x DRKSHDW Release

Rick Owens rebels against style expectations with a double platform take on the Chuck 70; Limited edition version to debut at New York Fashion Week. Grounded by a partnership built on bold design and constant experimentation, Converse and DRKSHDW unite once again to launch the Converse x DRKSHDW DBL DRKSTAR Chuck 70. An elevated take on theduo’s original silhouette featuring a double stacked sole on a Chuck 70 inspired silhouette. Through boundary-pushing design, Converse and DRKSHDW aim to liberate style from the confines ofubiquity by igniting alternative forms of creativity and expression. Reflecting Owens’ innate sensibility to play with and evolve form, the subversive design of the DBL DRKSTAR distorts proportions with anelongated tongue and raised platform, while celebrating iconic Chuck elements with the toe, heel andfoxing tape. Clean lines and a neutral color palette maintain Owens’ minimalist and contemporary stylefor emphasis on the dramatic shape. In a collective pursuit of innovation, Converse and DRKSHDW also implemented Converse’s innovative“Max Grind” process which incorporates up to 40% reclaimed rubber scraps from Converse’s footwear manufacturing process back into the outsole. The newest design will debut in a black Chuck 70 Hi as well as a natural ivory Chuck 70 Ox, both available at Converse.com, RickOwens.eu, Rick Owens shops, and select retailers, beginning September 8. A limited-edition version of the DBL DRKSTAR will also be available for purchase at Highsnobiety's NeuYork activation on September 8 during New York Fashion Week.
